Trip to California (part 9) - Disneyland (the rides and shows)

I have so many pictures from Disneyland that I'll have to another post with the pictures from the parade and the characters the kids got to meet. The night before we went to Disneyland, Gramma Carol presented all the grandkids with special Disneyland outfits. Sanaa, Layla, and Malakai were really excited and tried them on right away.

Isaac, Daniel, and Natalie also put theirs on, but Natalie wasn't happy about the pictures.

Most of the kids were excited when we arrived at Disneyland. Sanaa was happy, but Layla and Malakai were both grumpy right after we walked into the park. Once we got to the first ride they were better.

We did five or so rides. We began with Dumbo and Sanaa and Layla really enjoyed that one. We also rode on Its a Small World, a Peter Pan ride (I don't remember the name but it was Sanaa's favorite), the carousel, and Storybook Land Canal.

Waiting in lines got tiring but it was made fun by riding on Papa Gene's shoulders.

Another ride we did was Storybook Land Canal. Sanaa and Layla got very excited to see the different castles that the various Princesses lived in.

This was Jasmine's palace in the city of Agrabah.

I can't quite remember which one this was. I think it might have been Cinderella's castle but I'm not sure.

Where Ariel lives with Prince Eric by the sea.

We saw the show Mickey's Soundsational Parade. The kids were captivated by the show and it was really nice to have time to just sit and cool off.

The carousel was one of the final rides we did and all the kids enjoyed that.

We ended our day with dinner and ice cream. It was definitely a fun but quite tiring day!
