Yesterday my mom and I hosted a baby shower for my brother and his wife. It was a family baby shower where we invited all the uncles, aunts, and cousins in the area to come meet Ariana and shower Ryan and Karen with girly stuff. I didn't get many pictures because I honestly forgot about the camera and didn't think about it until Ryan and Karen were opening gifts. So I had Nate snap a few pictures for me.
We had approximately 27 family members attend the shower so it was a wonderful turn out. We all had a good time chatting, eating, and holding Ariana.
This is my dad's eldest sister holding Ariana. There is a 20 year age difference between my dad (who is the baby of the family) and the oldest in the family!
Sanaa and Layla had a wonderful time playing with the other cousins. There were 5 other kids there (all older than Sanaa and Layla) but my girls loved the attention they received from my cousins girls. I guess these would be Sanaa and Layla's 2nd cousins. I get so confused after you get past first cousins as to what the relationship is.
I made a diaper bassinet as a small center piece. It was very easy to make. The longest part of the process was trying to find my rubber bands and ribbon since I wasn't sure what box they were still packed in!
Sanaa helped make cupcakes for the shower. She mixed the icing so that it was pink and then put the sprinkles on the cupcakes after I had iced them.
