Sanaa is 6 months old today. It's amazing how quickly the time passes. Because of the holidays Sanaa won't get in for her check-up until next Wednesday. So you'll have to check back then for an update on her stats.
But, here is some of what she is doing. She is able to sit independently for a short while. If she gets distracted, she topples over pretty quickly. She loves to play on her tummy and will rotate herself around to get to a toy. She also loves to scream . . . at the top of her lungs. I try to ignore her when she screams because I don't want to encourage her, but it startles me every time and I end up looking. She is also teething, which has led to some grumpy days lately. However, I don't feel any teeth poking through.
Sanaa is still not a big sleeper. She does much better at night, only waking up once. The days are much harder. She typically takes three 30 minute naps. Some days I'm lucky and get a longer nap out of her (today I got 1 1/2 hours!), but not often. She has also begun the whole separation anxiety early. Way early. It actually started about 2 months ago and has continued, which means she gives the church nursery volunteers a hard time.
Here are some pictures:
"Helping daddy."Sanaa loves our cats. Anytime they meow she looks around for them. When she gets a chance to "pet" them she squeals with delight. Thankfully both of our cats have been very patient with her.
Sitting practice. Right after I took these pictures Sanaa was so excited she toppled over. Oh, well. We'll continue our practice sessions.
We hope you all have a wonderful new year!
